Kia Ora, my name is Vere Ngataro Hudson, known locally as Honey. I was born and raised in Port Chalmers, Dunedin, New Zealand.
Returning home after living in Australia and South East Asia for 30+ years and wanting to know more of my ancestry on my mother’s side (Te Arawa), I graduated from The University of Waikato with a BA in Te Reo Māori, 2018. After a gap year of travel, I returned to care for my mother. I entered full-time study in the Diploma of Relaxation Massage and Wellness at Otago Polytechnic. This then led me to create my own massage studio.
Life’s stresses, PTSD, family challenges, end-of-life care, and demanding study schedule triggered and inspired an interest in natural health and holistic therapies; Reiki, Solution-oriented Kinesiology, Hypnotherapy, massage, and various energy healing workshops over the past two decades.
While my primary focus at present is bodywork, I also graduated in December 2025 as a Shamanic Breathwork Facilitator through the Venus Rising Association for Transformation. This is a deeply transformative modality that blends together breathwork, hands-on body awareness, chakra-attuned music, creative expression, and intentional integration. True wellbeing is multidimensional; addressing the physical body alone is only one pathway among many toward holistic health.
There are no quick fixes. It requires a lifestyle of movement of the body, optimal nourishment, intuitive choices, and living with higher purpose, positivity, and creativity.
Create a great day!
Me mihi ki te runga rawa
nāna nei ngā mea katoa
Let us greet that which is above all else,
for all things are from that source.
